Tuvalu: The Sinking Island
Problem
Tuvalu will sink underwater within 50 to 100 years as a result of sea level rise. Despite the fact that the island is becoming inhabitable, Tuvalu is the least-visited country in the world. This, in combination with the declining tourism industry has become detrimental to the country’s economy.
Idea
Through creating a sense of urgency by reminding the audience that their time to see Tuvalu’s breathtaking sceneries is limited, let’s convince the audience to visit Tuvalu.

Social Campaign
This is a public stunt that takes place in a museum. People expect to see a new local artist’s exhibition, but what waits for them in the museum are different pictures of Tuvalu in frames. What is shown to them is the reality that they will face in a few decades. This sends a message that if people don’t take action to help Tuvalu, they will only be able to see these beautiful sceneries of Tuvalu in galleries. While giving the audience the background knowledge on Tuvalu’s current situation, the exhibition’s title Make Your Visit Count would serve as a call to action that encourages them to visit Tuvalu before it is gone.
